CAB/PFA hosting MLB Pitch, Hit and Run

email_header.jpg

Prescott’s CAB Company (Crazy About Baseball) along with Prescott Fastpitch Association (PFA) is hosting Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Pitch, Hit and Run youth skills competition this summer! This is a FREE event and will partake after the Prescott Pirates and Bay City Bombers baseball game at Fire Hall Field in Prescott on July 24, 2022. We anticipate starting the event at approximately 3:30PM.

Each athlete will be grouped into the following age brackets: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 with softball and baseball skills scored separately. This will be a fun environment where athletes can participate in a low-pressure situation and test their skills based on the metrics that MLB has provided to promote youth involvement in the sport. If your child scores well, there will be an opportunity for them to advance to a local team competition with the final destination being the WORLD SERIES! Skills include Pitch (any overhand or underhand throw), Hitting off tee, and timed running.

We encourage all families to come cheer on your Prescott Pirates and enjoy the great game of baseball and celebrate our community and young athletes! We will have full concessions, refreshments, and raffles available and look forward to a great family fun event!

CAB Donates to PHS Weight Room

Prescott CAB Company donated $500 to the Prescott High School weight room on Friday. Head Football Coach Jordan Hansen has transitioned the facility into power lifting and strength training to help our athletes perform. CAB recently took a tour of the facility and the new equipment, flooring and overall strategy is very impressive.

CAB Company Banquet

On April 1st, the CAB Company hosted their annual banquet. We appreciate everyone who showed up to support baseball and softball in the Prescott community.

Two time World Series champion with the Minnesota Twins Al Newman was the guest speaker and he didn’t disappoint.
